Internet Explorer 7 RC 1 Released

As the headline says, Microsoft has released Internet Explorer 7 Release Candidate 1 (IE7 RC1) for Windows XP SP2, Windows Server 2003 SP 1 and Windows XP/2003 x64 versions. Feature-wise there’s little that significantly new. In this respect both Firefox and Opera (browsers) gallop along miles ahead of IE7 with each new Beta adding on a new feature.

Putting The Yahoo into Yahoo!

Via Digg I learned that clicking the exclamation point in the Yahoo logo elicits a yahoo yodel voiced by Wylie Gustafson, a country singer. Just make sure you speakers aren’t turned too high. And if you may want to save the Shockwave file used. Good entertainment!

So What Did U Learn Today?

Every day I fire up my computer I learn something new. Today it was Firefox seeking approval to update an Extension. For the truly adventurous there’s a Firefox 2 Visual Refresh 2 Beta available. This offers a slightly modified user interface (UI). As well as a changed Preferences dialog based on the Firefox 3 code named ‘Minefield’ UI.
