Make Firefox 3 Rocket – short, simple ‘n sweet

If you really want to make Firefox the fastest browser around it take 3 staeps to make it happen.

First you have to download a Beta copy of Firefox 3.1.x Beta download link. Alternatively, you can access the Mozilla FTP system at http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/ to download a copy of the latest trunk version. As I do at least once a week.

On Windows XP (or Vista), use Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 SP1. This really neat PC emulator can run just about every released consumer flavor of 16-, 32- and 64-bit Windows beginning with Windows95 More >

What Powers Your Web Browser

I encountered a really interesting article Under the hood, a quick look at the Trident, Gecko, Webkit and Presto/Electra browser engines at Neowin.

Before you read this article do try and guess which engines are used in which browser. Then check out this under the hood unbiased, brief overview of each engine, plus a historical background and the browsers they power.

Back among the living

Hi readers!

My apologies for a nearly one whole year of silence. Lots of stuff happened in my personal space. And I flat out lost the will to locate ‘n review netapps and other web-related stuff.

But a recent server migration revealed that 12,000 loyal fans visit this site every week. And its for folks like you who believed in me that I’ve vaporized my demons (this week anyways). And will soon start adding more stuff you like to read.
